Christmas Seals: A Canadian Tradition
Did you know…
• Christmas Seals were first sold in Denmark in 1904.
• 9 million sheets of Seals will be printed in Canada this year.
• The Lung Association has mailed Christmas Seals to Canadian homes since 1927.
• If the Christmas Seals were stretched out they would equal the entire length of the Tour de France bicycle race – that's 3,429 km!
• To celebrate the holidays, The Lung Association sends out 90 million Christmas Seals across Canada and by using them, you show that you support the fight against lung disease.
• By making a donation to The Lung Association's Christmas Seal Campaign, you are one of the millions of people who contribute to this annual campaign.
• When a donation is made as a Christmas gift, an acknowledgement card is sent.
The Lung Association is dedicated to improving your lung health. Because one in five Canadians is living with a serious lung disease, we specialize in giving you advice and information about asthma, breathing difficulty due to lung illness, air quality, and respiratory research. Please support our Christmas Seal Campaign, because, when you can't breathe, nothing else matters. Call our toll-free number 1-888-566-5864 (LUNG) or visit us at www.lung.ca.
